Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Made More Of A Bargain

By Doug Caverly

Pricing is often the key to attracting customers, and in this economy, that's liable to be even more true than usual. So Microsoft may be onto something as it's tied fresh, free features to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, and also offered Oracle and Salesforce.com customers a special incentive to switch.

Let's start with how certain entities have been given a reason to try something new. The deal starts with a 30-day free trial of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, which is nothing to sneeze at. Then, individuals (and/or businesses) who come to Microsoft from Oracle and Salesforce.com will get six extra free months tacked on.

So basically, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online newbies will be able to use the product for the better part of a year without paying a dime. It's not every day (or even every year) you see a bargain like that.

As for the service update that'll benefit both new and old customers, Microsoft is promising customizable views, enhanced data import, and free mobile access. Not extremely stimulating stuff, perhaps, but still better than nothing.

Brad Wilson, the general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, said in a statement, "The new service update to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online demonstrates our commitment to simplify the customer experience, deliver rapid innovation and offer more value at a lower price."
