It is a slow newsday in the CRM industry so rather than giving you a write-up of one boring story about something like PNC switching to Oracle's Siebel software, I thought I'd point you to a couple of more interesting CRM articles.
I'll start off with Kevin Turner's article titled "A CRM value system: Five metrics of success" on DMNews.
These key metrics that Kevin speaks of are as follows:- Strategic Alignment
- User Involvement and Acceptance
- Improved Process Effectiveness
- information sharing
- Visibility It's an interesting read and I suggest that you check it out. Another one comes from Sam Biardo, founder and CEO, Technology Advisors posted at DestinationCRM, titled "6 Keys to a Successful CRM Upgrade"
The 6 keys that Biardo discusses include:1. Do a Hardware Evaluation
2. Use the Upgrade Document to Plan the Process
3. Perform a Test Upgrade First
4. Learn from Prior Upgrades
5. Do Not Mix New Changes with the Upgrade
6. Always Have Your Network Administrator Available Of course Biardo elaborates on each of these keys, so be sure to read the article to get some helpful insight into upgrading your CRM.
